Removal and Installation

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Remove four retaining bolts from rear of steering wheel.
3. Disconnect module connector from clockspring assembly, then remove module from vehicle.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position.
b. Hold module surface facing away, and connect blue, then the orange connectors.
c. Place module into wheel, and avoid pinching wiring.
d. Install four bolts, and torque to 10-12 ft. lbs.
e. Arm SRS and ensure air bag lamp lights for four to eight seconds, then goes off.
