Inspection Procedure





1. Locate connector C-157, (6 pin black connector) on the left side of the engine compartment, mounted to the rear of the cylinder head next to the distributor.

* NOTICE
Connector C-157 (6 pin black connector) may be located above or below connector C-139 (12 pin black connector).





2. Check for a white mark located on the top of connector C-157 (6 pin black connector) and/or a yellow or green sticker located above the right corner of the underhood Vehicle Emission Control Information Label.





^ If a white mark is not present on connector C-157 (6 pin black connector) or a yellow or green sticker is not placed above the right corner of the underhood Vehicle Emission Control Information Label, continue on to Repair Procedures.

^ If a white mark is present on connector C-157 and/or a yellow or green sticker is placed above the right corner of the underhood Vehicle Emission Control Information Label, no modification is required.

* NOTICE
To inspect for and correct OBD-II system malfunctions identified by Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in PCM memory, follow normal diagnostic procedures.
