Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Testing and Inspection

1. Ensure battery is properly charged.
2. Disconnect fan motor connector.

3. Connect battery and a suitable ammeter to fan motor connector as shown in Fig. 2.
4. Verify current is 8-11 amps.
5. If current is not as specified, and/or fan motor does not turn smoothly, replace fan motor.
