Power Locks: Description and Operation

The door knob lock switch is located in the driver's door. When the door knob lock switch is locked (pushed down) the driver's door is mechanically locked and a ground signal is sent to the electronic time and alarm control module "lock" input at C220/14. The electronic time and alarm control module will send a 12 V pulse through the GRN wire at C220/10 while simultaneously grounding the RED wire at C220/9. The doors lock. When the door knob lock switch is in the unlocked (pulled up) position the reverse happens. The driver's door is unlocked mechanically and a ground signal is sent to the electronic time and alarm control module unlock input at C220/13. The electronic time and alarm control module will send a 12 Volt pulse through the RED wire at C220/9 while grounding the GRN wire at C220/10. The doors unlock.
