Multi-Point Air Bag - SRS

The air bag diagnostic unit receives its main power from the AIR BAG fuse and reserve power from the AUDIO fuse. Three collision sensitive sensors, one in the diagnostic unit and one in each front sensor, are in series with each other and with the battery and both air bags. When all three sensors close simultaneously, squibs in both air bags will be initiated. The diagnostic unit also contains a back-up power supply and a self-diagnostic function.
