Air Bag Module (Passenger Side)

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Remove glove compartment and compartment upper trim panel.
3. Remove HVAC duct screws as needed to push duct toward cowl.
4. Remove four module mounting bolts.
5. Disconnect module connectors from wiring harness.
6. Depress two side spring latches, then remove module from instrument panel.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure wiring does not pinch, and side latches engage properly.
b. Install four module mounting bolts, and torque to 18-32 ft. lbs.
c. Arm SRS and ensure air bag lamp lights for four to eight seconds, then goes off.
