Oil Pump: Service and Repair

NOTE: On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain engine oil.
3. Remove timing belt.
4. Remove oil pan, as outlined under Oil Pan, Engine.
5. Remove oil pan upper block.

6. Remove components following numerical order, Fig. 57.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
