Brake Shoe: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Drum Brake Shoe Replacement:

1. Remove drum brakes in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 1.
2. Reverse procedure to install.
3. Apply grease to the following points:
a. Piston of wheel cylinder.
b. Anchor sliding parts.
c. Projection of backing plate.
d. Adjusting screw and adjusting sleeve contact surfaces.
