Sephia Front Brake Pads

This bulletin provides information related to a change to Sephia Front Brake Pads. 1997 Sephia models, beginning with VIN KNAFA1259V5287030 (production date 2/3/97), are equipped with redesigned Front Brake Pads.





Some Sephia models have exhibited a noticeable front brake "squeal" or "groan" noise during certain braking conditions. To prevent further occurances of this condition, the front brake pad friction material has been slotted and chamfered which allows for improved contact between the brake pads and brake rotors. This design change significantly reduces the brake noise exhibited by some Sephia vehicles.

The new brake pads are a replacement for previous Sephia brake pads and should also be used to correct Sephia brake noise complaints in models produced between 5/26/95 and 2/3/97.

Replacement of brake pads due to normal wear is the responsibility of the customer and not a warrantable repair.

Affected Production Range:
Sephia models with production dates from 5/26/95 to 2/3/97.
