Antitheft and Alarm Systems: Description and Operation

If an attempt is made to start the vehicle without the use of an ignition key (i.e. "Hot Wired"), the horn will sound and the turn lights will flash for approximately three minutes.

Also, the theft deterrent system will operate if the audio system is removed from its electrical source without the ignition key in the ignition switch.

To disarm the system, insert the ignition key into the ignition.
