Park, license and taillights
Battery voltage from the BTN fuse (see power distribution) is applied at all times to the light switch. With the light switch in PARK or HEAD, battery voltage is applied to the park, front side marker, tail and license lights. The lights illuminate.

Turn signal and Hazard lights
Turn lights
With the ignition switch in ON or START battery voltage is applied to the turn signal switch. With the turn signal switch in the turn left or turn right position, battery voltage is applied through the turn signal switch to the flasher module. The flasher module will alternately open and close a solid state switch which will send pulses of battery voltage to the appropriate turn lights and the turn indicator. The turn lights and indicators flash.

Hazard lights
With the hazard switch in the ON position, a ground signal is sent to the flasher module. The flasher module will alternately open and close two solid state switches which will send pulses of battery voltage to the turn lights and the turn indicators. The lights flash. The hazard lights can also be operated by the electronic time and alarm control module. See Alarm System for details.

Brake lights
Battery voltage is applied to the brake switch at all times from the STOP fuse. With the brake pedal depressed, the brake switch is closed and battery voltage is applied to all the stop lights and the lights go ON.
