Alarm System

If an attempt is made to start the vehicle without the use of an ignition key (i.e. "Hot Wired"), the horn will sound and the turn lights will flash for approximately three minutes.

The alarm system will also operate if the audio system is removed from its electrical source.

Any time the battery cables are removed from the battery and then reconnected, the alarm system will operate. To disarm the system, insert the ignition key and turn it to the ACC position.

If the key is left in the ignition when the battery cables are reconnected, the alarm system will not operate until the key is removed from the ignition. Reinsert the ignition key and turn it to the ACC position to disarm the system.
