Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Description:






INSPECTION
1. With the ignition switch in ON, disconnect the ignition control module connector C134 and check for battery voltage at the YEL/WHT wire (pin 1).
2. If battery voltage is present, go to step 4.
3. If battery voltage is not present check for an open or short to ground on the circuit back to the ignition coil.
4. Check for continuity on the GRN/WHT wire between the ECM connector C248/4 and ignition control module connector C134/3.
5. Check for continuity to ground on BLK wire of ignition control module connector C134/4.
6. If all checks are made and the ignition control module still does not work properly, replace the ignition control module.
