OPERATION
1. Connect a tachometer to the data link connector (DLC) IG-Terminal.
2. Warm-up the engine to normal operating temperature and run it at idle.

WARNING: Confirm that transmission is in Neutral (M/T) or P range (A/T).

3. Check voltages at ECM connector C249/11 (YEL) and C249/24 (YEL/BLK). Verify that the terminal voltages for the injectors are correct, referring to procedures in this section as needed.
4. Increase the engine speed to 4,000 rpm and then suddenly release the throttle.
5. Verify voltage at ECM connectors C249/11 (YEL) and C249/24.All terminals should read 12V while engine speed is above approximately 1,900 rpm on deceleration. see ECM Diagrams for further information. Specifications
6. Increase the engine speed and verify that the maximum rpm does not exceed approx. 6,500 rpm.
