Power Window Regulators

Some 1994 Sephia CS models equipped with power windows that were produced between September 1, 1993 and June 30, 1994 may experience window regulator cable breakage. When this occurs, the affected window drops down in the door and will not roll up.





The Sephia is equipped with two different types of power window regulators (see illustrations).

Vehicles equipped with Type 1 Window Regulators may experience the condition explained above. Type 2 Window Regulators are not affected.

If an inoperative Type 1 regulator requires replacement, be sure to replace all other existing (other doors) Type 1 Window Regulators, as well.

NOTE:
Do not replace any Type 2 Window Regulators! Type 1 regulators will be replaced by Type 2 regulators.

Additionally, all GS models in dealer inventory with production dates from September 1, 1993 through June 30, 1994 should be inspected for Type 1 regulators. All Type 1 regulators must be replaced with Type 2.
