Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Service and Repair

Description:

REMOVAL / INSPECTION / INSTALLATION
1. Remove in the order shown in the image, referring to Removal note.
2. Inspect the intake air system components visually and repair or replace if necessary.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to Installation note.

THROTTLE BODY

Inspection
1. Check the throttle body for wear and deposits.
2. Check if the throttle valve moves smoothly when the throttle lever is moved from fully closed to fully open.
3. Replace the throttle body if necessary.

CAUTION: Do not remove the thin seal coating from the throttle valves or bore.

DYNAMIC CHAMBER

Removal note
Raise the vehicle to remove the three bolts shown in the figure.

INTAKE MANIFOLD

Installation note
1. Drain the engine coolant.
2. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the image.

Tightening torque: 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm)

3. Refill the radiator with the specified engine coolant.
4. Check for engine coolant leakage.
