Bumper Molding Installation Instructions

1. Thoroughly clean grooves in bumpers where moldings will be attached with isopropyl alcohol.

2. Using a heat gun, heat bumper surface to approximately 85-105C~F (warm to the touch). Heat the bumper about two (2) feet at a time while installing moldings to assure working area doesn't cool excessively.

NOTE:
Molding temperature at time of application should be room temperature (approximately 65-70~F)

3. Install moldings as follows:

Front Bumper

A. Peel back about six (6) inches of paper from adhesive back on one end of molding and insert molding approximately 1/4 inch into slot at end of bumper.

B. Carefully align and firmly press the molding into bumper groove while intermittently peeling the paper from the adhesive back as molding is applied.

NOTE:
Do not touch adhesive back.

C. Continue heating sections of bumper and applying molding until end of bumper groove is reached at license plate area. At this point, insert remaining molding material into slot at end of molding groove.

D. Confirm that molding is firmly pressed into place in bumper groove.

E. Repeat procedure on other side of bumper.

Rear Bumper

A. Follow the same molding application procedure as for front bumper except for the following:

1. When reaching the end of bumper when applying molding, the molding must be trimmed so that approximately 1/4 inch is inserted into slot at end of bumper groove.
