Power Door Lock Switch: Service and Repair

Removal

Driver Power Window Main Switch
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the front door trim.

3. Remove the screws (Inside:4EA, outside:1EA) from power window switch assembly (A) and connectors (B).




4. Remove the power window switch assembly (A) from front door trim.





NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the hook when removing the switch module.

Passenger Window Switch
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the front door trim.

3. Remove the passenger window switch assembly (A) from front door trim.




4. Remove the passenger window switch assembly (A) from front door trim.





NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the hook when removing the switch module.

Installation

Driver Power Window Main Switch
1. Install the driver power window switch assembly and connectors.
2. Install the front door trim.

Passenger Window Switch
1. Install the passenger power window switch assembly and connectors.
2. Install the front door trim.

Diagnosis With GDS

1. It will be able to diagnose defects of door lock with GDS quickly. GDS can operates actuator forcefully, input/output value monitoring and self diagnosis.
2. Select "Current data", if you will check current data of power door lock system. It provides input/output status of IPM.




3. If you will check the power door lock operation forcefully, select "Actuation test".








4. To check the DTC of the door lock, select "Diagnostic trouble codes".
