Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check shorting bar/shorting bar release pin and connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Power Circuit Inspection

1. Check for an open or short circuit in the Passenger side BodySense sensor Mat & ECU Power Circuit.
(1) Disconnect Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU connector from wiring harness.
(2) Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
(1) Measure voltage between terminal "supply voltage" and chassis ground.

Specification :Battery Voltage




(3) Is the measured voltage within specifications?






CAN communication Line Inspection

1. Connect SRSCM and Passenger side BodySense sensor Mat & ECU connector.
2. IG KEY ON.
3. Measure signal waveform between C-CAN HIGH terminal and C-CAN LOW terminal of WCS connector.

4. Is the measrured signal waveform normal ?
