07-09 Sorento (BL) Evaporative Clogging DTC's

When diagnosing the Evaporative system for clogging, please inspect the intake vent valve located next to the filer neck. The evaporative air filter is located next to the charcoal canister.

Thanks to Joseph Clara from San Leandro Kia who called tech-line to inform the service team of what he has found on a Sorento.








Part is located along side the filler neck, clean out using compressed shop air after disconnecting the rubber hose. This valve is part of the filler neck assembly, do not replace the part unless it cannot be cleaned using shop air.
