SECOND ROW CENTER
WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury during and following any seat belt or child restraint anchor service, carefully inspect all seat belts, buckles, mounting hardware, retractors, tether straps, and anchors for proper installation, operation, or damage. Replace any belt that is cut, frayed, or torn. Straighten any belt that is twisted. Tighten any loose fasteners. Replace any belt that has a damaged or ineffective buckle or retractor. Replace any belt that has a bent or damaged latch plate or anchor plate. Replace any child restraint anchor or the unit to which the anchor is integral that has been bent or damaged. Never attempt to repair a seat belt or child restraint component. Always replace damaged or ineffective seat belt and child restraint components with the correct, new and unused replacement parts listed in the Chrysler Mopar(R) Parts Catalog.
1. Position the second row center seat belt and retractor unit through the opening in the front upper right corner of the seat back frame (2). Be certain to engage the tab on the retractor into the slot (1) in the back of the seat back frame.
2. Install and tighten the screw (3) into the back of the center seat back frame that secures the retractor. Tighten the screw to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
3. Pull the foam seat back cushion (2) away from the front upper right corner of the center seat back frame far enough to position the retractor shield (3) to the seat back frame.
4. Install and tighten the two screws (1) that secure the retractor shield to the seat back frame. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.).
5. Reinstall the trim onto the back and the top of the second row center seat back frame.
6. Slide the seat belt webbing (3) through the slot (4) in the seat belt escutcheon (2) and position the escutcheon to the top of the second row center seat back (1).
7. Using hand pressure, press the escutcheon firmly and evenly down onto the top of the seat back until the barrel clips are fully engaged.
8. Position the seat belt lower anchor (2) to the buckle bracket on the outboard side of the right center seat support bracket. Be certain that the belt webbing is not twisted between the top of the seat back and the lower anchor.
9. Install and tighten the screw (3) that secures the lower anchor to the right center seat support bracket. Tighten the screw to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
10. Restore the right outboard second row seat to its seating position.
