Upper






REMOVAL





1. Remove the trim plug (1) from the upper b-pillar trim (2).

CAUTION: The upper trim plug must be removed and discarded to gain access to the upper retaining screw before attempting to remove the trim panel. Failure to remove the trim screw may result in damage to the trim panel or the retaining clip.






2. Using a small drill (2) approximately 3 mm (7/64"), drill a hole into the trim plug (1).





3. Using a hook type tool (1) or equivalent, remove and discard the trim plug (2).





4. Firmly grasp the lower end of the turning loop trim cover on the upper B-pillar and pull it straight out to unsnap it from the height adjuster, then lift the bottom of the cover upward and pull outward to disengage the upper tabs from the adjuster.





5. Remove the screw (3) that secures the seat belt turning loop (4) to the height adjuster (5).
6. Remove the seat belt turning loop from the height adjuster and position the seat belt out of the way.





7. Using a magnetic screwdriver or equivalent, remove the upper screw and pull the upper part of the trim panel (1) away from the pillar and release the bottom tabs (2).
