Console: Description and Operation






DESCRIPTION






NOTE: The overhead console shown contains a combination power liftgate/power sunroof switch. Vehicles equipped with the power liftgate and no sunroof contain a single power liftgate switch only. Vehicles equipped with the power sunroof and no liftgate contain a single power sunroof switch only.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with both a power sunroof and power liftgate the overhead console switches are serviced together as one assembly.

An overhead console (3) is standard on this vehicle and includes the following components:

- Overhead storage compartment (2)
- Power sunroof switch (1) - if equipped
- Power liftgate switch (1) - if equipped
- Universal transmitter (5) - if equipped
- Access hole for mounting the inside rearview mirror





The overhead console assembly is mounted by four snap clips (1) securing it to a molded plastic retainer bracket located above the headliner. The Electronic Overhead Module (EOM) (3) and combination power sunroof/liftgate switch (2) are secured to the overhead console with screws.
