Hose - Oil Cooler to Steering Rack

Removal
1. Open engine compartment and fit paintwork protection covers.

2. Raise vehicle on a four-post ramp.





3. Place a drain pan under steering rack.





4. Disconnect hose from steering rack. Remove bolt from retaining plate.
- Release hose, hold it clear of steering rack and allow fluid to drain.
- Fit blanking plugs to hose and port.

5. Disconnect cooler to steering rack hose.
- Release Quick Fit hose clip using special tool 310 - 044.
- Disconnect hoses and remove tool.
- Fit blanking plugs to both sections of hose.
- Remove drain pan and discard fluid.

Installation





1. Installation is reverse of removal procedure.

2. Tighten retaining plate bolt.

3. Fill with new fluid and bleed air from the system.
