Loss Of Engine Performance - Intake Ducts Loose - Install Revised Parts

Remove and destroy Bulletin 303-57, amended 01/03. Replace with this Bulletin.

The starting VIN has been corrected for XKR vehicles.

Issue:

Some XKR and XJR vehicles within the above VIN range may experience a loss of performance due to the intake ducts not fitting securely. Revised ducts and clamp plates are now available to solve this complaint.

Action:

On a customer complaint basis only, replace the charge air cooler inlet ducts and clamp plates with the revised parts listed below.

WORKSHOP PROCEDURE

1. Remove supercharger outlet pipe (see Workshop Manual, JTIS CD ROM, section: 303-12, SRO 18.50.16).

2. Install new charge air cooler inlet ducts and clamp plates as listed in Parts Information below.

3. Install supercharger outlet pipe (see Workshop Manual, JTIS CD ROM, section: 303-12, SRO 18.50.16).
