Bank 2

Removal
1. Open the engine compartment and fit paintwork protection sheets.
2. Open the driver's door, or both doors if necessary, to allow the side glass to drop. Ensure that the doors remain open until after the battery has been disconnected.





3. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove the battery cover.





4. WARNING: BEFORE PROCEEDING, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE WARNINGS GIVEN IN SERVICE PRECAUTIONS ARE READ AND UNDERSTOOD.


Depressurize the fuel system.
Ensure that the ignition is switched off and remove the valve cap from the fuel cross-over pipe.
Place a cloth under the valve to collect any spillage.
Place a closed container, suitable for collecting fuel, adjacent to the vehicle. Remove the lid.





5. Connect the fuel injection pressure test equipment 310-058 (or other suitable type). Insert the drain bleed tube into the fuel container. Follow the manufacturers instructions and depressurize the fuel system.
6. Store the drained fuel safely and ensure that the lid is closed securely. Remove the equipment and discard the cloth from beneath the valve. Install the valve cap.
7. Drain the radiator coolant.





8. Disconnect the breather pipe from Bank 1 camshaft cover.
Disconnect the breather pipe from the stub pipe.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal from the breather pipe.
9. Disconnect the air flow meter multi-plug.
10. Cut and remove the strap which secures the vacuum pipe to the induction elbow.





11. Disconnect the intake tube from the throttle body.
Remove the two bolts which secure the intake tube to the throttle body.
Disconnect the intake tube from the throttle body.





12. Disconnect the air cleaner cover.
Remove the five clips which secure the air cleaner cover.





13. Remove the intake tube/air flow meter/air cleaner cover assembly.
Remove the intake tube/air flow meter/air cleaner cover assembly.
Remove and discard the rubber seal; air intake tube to throttle body.
14. Remove the throttle housing.
15. Remove the throttle intake elbow.
16. Remove the supercharger outlet duct and gasket.
17. Remove the coolant output pipe.
18. Remove the supercharger drive belt.
19. Remove the supercharger assembly.
20. Remove Bank 2 charge air cooler.





21. Disconnect the fuel injector harness.
Disconnect the multiplugs from Bank 2 injectors.
Loosen, do not remove, the nuts which secure the harness to the camshaft cover.
Reposition the harness for access.





22. Remove the fuel rail.
Remove the three bolts which secure the fuel rail to the charge air cooler adaptor.
Remove the fuel rail from the adaptor; still connected to the fuel crossover pipe and fuel feed pipe.





23. Remove the charge air cooler adaptor assembly.
Remove and discard the seals from the fuel rail.
Remove the five bolts which secure the adaptor assembly to the cylinder head.
Remove the adaptor assembly from the cylinder head.
Remove the gasket; adaptor assembly to cylinder head.
24. Clean and inspect all relevant mating faces.

Installation





1. Install the charge air cooler adaptor assembly.
Install a new gasket; adaptor assembly to cylinder head.
Align and install the adaptor assembly to the cylinder head.
Install the five bolts which secure the adaptor assembly to the cylinder head. Tighten to 20 - 22 Nm.
Install new seals to the fuel rail.





2. Install the fuel rail to the charge air cooler adaptor.
Align the fuel rail to the adaptor; still connected to the fuel crossover pipe and fuel feed pipe.
Locate the fuel rail into the adaptor.
Install the three bolts which secure the fuel rail to the adaptor. Tighten to 18 - 24 Nm.





3. Connect the fuel injector harness.
Reposition the harness.
Tighten the nuts which secure the harness to the camshaft cover. Tighten to 4 - 5 Nm.
Connect the multiplugs to Bank 2 injectors.
4. Install the Bank 2 charge air cooler.
5. Install the supercharger assembly.
6. Install the supercharger drive belt.
7. Install the coolant output pipe.
8. Install the throttle intake elbow.
9. Install the throttle housing.
10. Install the supercharger outlet duct and gasket.





11. Install the intake tube/air flow meter/air cleaner cover assembly.
Install a new rubber seal; air intake tube to throttle body.
Install the intake tube/air flow meter/air cleaner cover assembly.





12. Reconnect the air cleaner cover.
Install the five clips which secure the air cleaner cover.





13. Connect the intake tube to the throttle body.
Connect the intake tube to the throttle body.
Install the two bolts which secure the intake tube to the throttle body.
14. Reconnect the air flow meter multi-plug.
15. Install a new strap to secure the vacuum pipe to the induction elbow.





16. Connect the breather pipe to Bank 1 camshaft cover.
Install a new O-ring seal to the breather pipe.
Reconnect the breather pipe to the stub pipe.
17. Refill the cooling system.
18. Connect the battery and install the battery cover.
19. Remove the paintwork protection sheets and close the engine cover.
