D5 Check Harness Short to Ground

D5 CHECK HARNESS SHORT TO GROUND





1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the harness connector.
3. With EM007 and EM046 disconnected, measure the resistance between EM007/052 and EM2AL (EM1AL).
4. Repeat for EM007/053 and EM2AL (EM1AL).
- Is the resistance greater than 10 M ohms?
Yes --> GO to [D6] D6 Check Harness Short to Ignition
No --> Inspect EM007 for corrosion, bent / pushed back pins or locate and repair the harness. Test the system for normal operation.
