D10 Check For Short to Ignition

D10 CHECK FOR SHORT TO IGNITION





1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
2. Disconnect the harness connector.
3. With EM007 and EM046 disconnected, measure the resistance between EM007/005 and EM007/0544.
4. Repeat for EM007/001 and EM007/054.
5. EM007/029 and EM007/054.
6. EM007/004 and EM007/054.
7. EM007/051 and EM007/054.
- Is the resistance greater than 10 M ohms?
Yes --> Reconnect EM046, GO to [D11] D11 Check Internal Harness and Component Continuity
No --> Inspect EM007 for corrosion, bent / pushed back pins or locate and repair the harness. Test the system for normal operation.
