Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Description and Operation

The High Mounted Stop Lamp (HMSL) is installed on the trunk lid and consists of a lamp unit and a cover. Clips secure the cover to the lamp unit. Three nuts secure the lamp unit to the trunk lid.

Each lamp unit contains 16 non-replaceable LED wired to a single connector. The lamp unit must be replaced after failure of 1 LED maximum.
