Removal
CAUTION: Replacement of nuts and bolts: Various thread-locking devices are used on nuts and bolt throughout the vehicle. These devices restrict the number of times a nut or bolt can be used.
1. Position vehicle on a four-post lift.
2. Make sure parking brake is fully released.
3. Remove equalizer from rear parking-brake cable.
- Remove adjustment nut.
- Remove equalizer from adjustment rod and cable.
- Remove damper.
4. Remove adjuster assembly from relay.
- Remove clip and clevis pin.
- Remove adjustment rod.
- Remove fork-end from adjustment rod.
Installation
1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
2. Adjust parking-brake cable.
