Lower Side Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair

Side Moldings







Remove damaged moldings using hot air gun or reciprocating power knife (as per windshield fitting tools).
Remove adhesive residues with degreasing solvent.

Note: Grazed moldings should be considered for repair.

'Spirit wipe' appropriate body panel and where appropriate protect against damage.

Gently warm body panel and molding using infra red lamp or similar.







Lower molding-align to body feature and other moldings if appropriate, and secure into position.

Upper molding-align to lower molding for (nominal) distance, as illustrated, and parallelism and other moldings if appropriate, and secure into position.

Apply an even pressure along the molding to fully secure to the panel.
