Procedures



LOWER HEADLINING FOR SLIDING ROOF ACCESS

Removal
1. Motor front seats to fully forward position and fully recline squabs.
2. Remove sliding roof trim panel. Service and Repair
3. Remove sliding roof flange finisher.
4. Remove battery cover and disconnect ground cable from battery terminal.
5. Remove combined grab handle and coat hooks. Service and Repair
6. Remove rear quarter reading/courtesy lamps.
7. Remove roof console.
8. Remove sun visors.
9. Remove driver side 'A' post/cantrail trim pad. Service and Repair
10. Remove passenger side 'A' post/cantrail trim pad.
11. Remove LH rear quarter upper trim panel. Service and Repair
12. Remove RH rear quarter upper trim panel.
13. Release multiplugs from retaining clips at roof console location.







14. Cut through and remove security sensor harness retaining strap, release (black) multiplug, from retaining clip and disconnect multiplug.







15. Bend BIW headlining support tangs downwards to release headlining.
16. Exercising care to prevent kinking, creasing or other damage, lower headlining and pass rearwards to rest on rear headrests and front seat squabs.

Installation
1. Lift headlining to roof, tilt to position above tangs at one side, then bow slightly to position above tangs on opposite side.
2. Bend BIW support tangs upwards to secure headlining.
3. Connect security sensor multiplug.
4. Fit multiplug into retaining clip and secure harness with new ratchet strap.
5. Fit LH rear quarter upper trim.
6. Fit RH rear quarter upper trim.
7. Fit driver side 'A' post/cantrail trim pad.
8. Fit passenger side 'A' post/cantrail trim pad.
9. Fit sun visors.
10. Fit roof console.
11. Fit rear quarter reading/courtesy lamps.
12. Fit combined grab handles and coat hooks.
13. Connect ground cable to battery terminal and fit battery cover.
14. Fit sliding roof flange finisher.
15. Fit sliding roof trim panel.
16. Return front seats to original positions.
