ISSUE:
Jaguar Cars recently released a new Warranty Coverage type; "Quality
Assurance (JQA)": JQA is exclusive to Reacquired Vehicles only, which have
completed Jaguar's inspection and rectification process.
JQA is, in effect, very similar to the Select Edition Warranty as the coverages are identical. As Reacquired Vehicles are not eligible for Select Edition, JQA was developed to add this extra benefit to these vehicles. JQA coverage adds an additional 2 years/50,000 miles of "Premium Coverage" to these Reacquired Vehicles.
JQA warranty claims will be processed identically to that of Select Edition claims and all of the Select Edition administration regulations, including the prior approval process apply to this coverage.
Included in this bulletin are three DCS Vehicle Inquiry Screens:
Attachment 1: New Car Warranty (no Pre-owned warranty coverage)
Attachment 2: Extended Warranty-Select Edition
Attachment 3: Extended Warranty-Jaguar Quality Assurance
Dealer Service personnel can identify whether a car has a JQA Warranty by checking for EXWARR CD:UQA2 on the third line of the screen as shown in attachment 3.
JQA customer delivery portfolios are placed inside the car at the auction. After the portfolio documents are completed, dealers are to present the portfolio to the customer during the delivery process. Customers will receive Jaguar Experience Roadside Assistance cards as identification and a program welcome letter within 45 days.
Upon receipt of a customer signed disclosure statement, Consumer Affairs will RDR the Jaguar Quality Assurance Vehicle. At this time the dealer will receive credit for the sale in their used vehicle sale counts and the JQA Warranty is activated.
