1999 MY Cellular Phone Program - Dealer Warranty Policies and Procedures
ELIGIBILITY
All 1999 model year Jaguar vehicles. Claims for cellular phone repairs on other model/model year vehicles will not be accepted.
WARRANTY COVERAGE
Jaguar cellular phones are covered under the Jaguar Cars Accessories Limited Warranty. A summary of the warranty is provided below, the complete warranty statement can be found in Section A-19 of the Jaguar Cars Warranty Policies and Procedures Manual.
All Jaguar Cars approved, dealer installed cellular phone components are covered for 4 years, 50,000 miles if the phone system was installed by a Jaguar dealer on a new vehicle prior to delivery. If the cellular phone system is installed after new car delivery, the components are covered for the balance of the new vehicle warranty or 12 months, unlimited mileage, whichever is greater.
Portable cellular phone batteries are covered for a period of 12 months, unlimited mileage.
Certain phone system cables and harnesses are installed during the manufacture of the vehicle and may be a part of other vehicle system harnesses.These components are covered for the full 4 year, 50,000 mile term of the warranty regardless of phone system installation date.
Cellular phone components are covered against defects in factory supplied material or workmanship. Normal wear and tear, or damage caused by improper installation or misuse is not covered. Components returned under warranty for these reasons will be charged back.
REIMBURSEMENT POLICY
Claims will be reimbursed in accordance with standard warranty reimbursement policies as specified in Section E of the Jaguar Warranty Policies and Procedures Manual.
A special diagnostic time allowance of .50 hours, operation number 86.50.49 has been provided.This allowance is intended to cover all cellular phone technical diagnostic procedures and can be claimed only once per repair visit. Dealer installed accessory cellular phone components (transceiver, PSE unit, handset, microphone, antenna, etc.) will be reimbursed at dealer cost with a 10% handling allowance.
REPAIR POLICY
A special toll-free technical hotline operated by Audiotronics Cellular Service (800 770-0521) has been provided to assist dealers in diagnosing cellular phone problems. It is recommended that dealers contact the toll-free hotline before attempting any cellular phone repairs.
Dealers must contact the toll-free hotline in order to obtain a transceiver, PSE unit, or handset.These parts will not be released from stock without authorization from Audiotronics Cellular.
CLAIM SUBMISSION PROCEDURES
Claims can be submitted using standard submission procedures as outlined in Section F of the Jaguar Cars Warranty Policies and Procedures Manual. Use the information below for dealer installed accessory cellular phone components:

Repair Operations/Time
If a factory fit vehicle harness is defective, use the appropriate fault code and labor operation from the Warranty Codes and Repair Operation Times Manual.
PART RETURN PROCEDURES
All part return policies and procedures as outlined in Section I of the Jaguar Cars Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual apply to cellular phone components.
