Shift Interlock Solenoid: Adjustments

Adjust the gearshift interlock solenoid.





Slacken the solenoid fixings.
Hold the selector lever midway between P and R.
Move the solenoid rearward, against spring pressure, to take up the free play.
Tighten the solenoid securing nuts.
Ensure that the interlock actuating lever has no free play with the selector lever midway between P and R.
1. Further installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
2. Perform the Battery Reconnection Procedure described in Starting and Charging.
