Hose-Oil Cooler to Steering Rack

Removal
1. Open engine compartment and fit paintwork protection covers.
2. Raise vehicle on a four-post ramp.
3. Place a drain pan under steering rack.





4. Disconnect hose from steering rack.
Remove bolt from retaining plate.
Release hose, hold it clear of steering rack and allow fluid to drain.
Fit blanking plugs to hose and port.





5. Disconnect cooler to steering rack hose.
Release Quick Fit hose clip using special tool 310-044.
Disconnect hoses and remove tool.
Fit blanking plugs to both sections of hose.
Remove drain pan and discard fluid.

Installation
1. Installation is reverse of removal procedure.





2. Tighten retaining plate bolt.
3. Fill with new fluid and bleed air from the system.
