Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Disconnect battery ground cable. Service and Repair





2. Remove ABS controller cover for access.





3. Disconnect engine harness connector from CKP sensor connector.
Depress tang on connector to release, tools are not necessary.





4. Release CKP sensor plug from mounting bracket.
Depress tang on sensor plug to release, tools are not necessary.
5. Raise vehicle. Vehicle Lifting





6. From below: release harness clips from engine.





7. Remove crankshaft position sensor.
Remove fixing.
Remove sensor.
Retain harness clips


Installation





1. Installation is a reversal of the removal procedure. See Battery Reconnection Procedure. Service and Repair
