Fuel Rail: Service and Repair
The fuel rails which run the length of each cylinder bank and are integral with the air intake manifold.
A cross-over pipe connects the two fuel rails together at the front of the manifold.

Removal
WARNING: BEFORE PROCEEDING, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL 'SAFETY PRECAUTIONS' ARE READ AND UNDERSTOOD.
1. Depressurize fuel system. Service and Repair
2. Disconnect battery ground cable. Service and Repair
3. Remove inlet manifold fuel cross-over pipe.
- Place cloth under pipe elbows to collect any spillage.
- Remove elbow securing screws.
- Disconnect first elbow.
- Disconnect remaining elbow and remove assembly.
- Discard O-ring seals from pipe elbows.
- Clean relevant parts and mating faces.
Installation
1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Refer to the Battery Reconnection Procedure. Service and Repair
NOTE: Install and lubricate new O-ring seals.
