Issue:
The oil pressure sender on the V8 engine has an uncommon thread (M10x1.25). To enable pressure testing of the lubrication system all dealers will soon be supplied with an adapter tool: Special Tool Number 307-010-05.





Action:
The adaptor tool has been supplied in two parts to provide the following Options.

Option 1:
The use of both adapters enables the use of the existing transmission gauge and pipe CBW - IC, to check engine oil pressure on V8 engines.

Option 2:
The main adapter has a standard 1/8" BSP female fitting. When used independently, it allows you to construct a gauge set dedicated to testing engine oil pressure on V8 engines.





The oil pressure test point is occupied by the low pressure warning switch, which must be removed to allow the installation of the test adapter. Place a container under the engine to collect any oil spillage.

Use the sealing washer (JWV 114003) used on the low pressure warning switch to seal the test adaptor. A supply can be kept with the tool.

Note:
Always replace used sealing washers.
