"Code Protected" or "Rolling Code" GDO (Yellow LED)
If you have successfully programmed the GDO but the garage door will not open, and if your GDO receiver (garage unit) was manufactured after 1995, your system may have a rolling code feature. This feature will change the code of your GDO every time you open or close your garage door.To determine if you have one of these systems. press the button previously programmed on the roof console. If the yellow light marked "GARAGE" flashes rapidly for 1 to 2 seconds then turns solid, your garage door opener has a rolling code feature.
To train your GDO receiver to operate from the GDO transmitter, follow the steps shown:
1. Follow the previous steps 1 to 5 to program one of the roof console buttons.
2. Remove the cover panel from your GDO receiver. The receiver should be located near to the GDO motor.
3. Locate the training button on the GDO receiver The exact location and color of the button may vary by (GDO brand. Refer to your GDO owners manual if necessary.
4. Press the training button on the GDO receiver for 1 to 2 seconds.
5. Return to the vehicle and press the programmed button on the roof console for the duration of the rapid flash of the yellow light (1 to 2 seconds). Release the button and then re-press to confirm that the transmitter has been trained to the receiver.
The GDO receiver should now recognize the GDO transmitter.
