E2: Check Harness Short to Ground

NOTE: The covers are retained by press fixings only





Remove engine covers for access to PI026 & PI027
Remove the ABS modulator cover for access to PI017
With EM013, PI017, PI026 & PI027 disconnected, measure the insulation resistance between EM013/027 & EM013/019

Repeat for EM013/028

Is the resistance > 10M ohms?

Yes
Reconnect PI026 & PI027 only
Go to E3

No
Inspect EM013, PI017 & PI001 for corrosion, bent/pushed back pins or locate & repair the harness/splice EMS09. Test the system for normal operation
