X3: Check IAT Sensor Range

NOTE: It is advisable to employ a lower than ambient test temperature such as refrigerator, freezer or freeze spray





With the MAF meter plug (PI035) disconnected, measure the resistance between the IAT pins PI035/003 & PI035/004

Temperature / resistance relationship OK?

Yes
Go to X4

No
Remove sensor & test over at least 3 temperatures (including ambient) Renew as required & test the system for normal operation
