X5: Check Continuity Harness

NOTE: To avoid a spurious result, disconnect connectors; EM011 (ECM), & PI042 & PI006 (electronic throttle body)





Measure the resistance between EM010/020 & the MAF meter connector PI035/004

Is the resistance < 0.5 ohms?

Yes
Go to X6

No
Repair the harness/connector (PI001/031)
Reconnect PI042 & PI006 (electronic throttle body), EM010, EM011 (ECM) & PI035 (MAF meter) & test the system for normal operation
