Torque Converter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the transmission unit from the vehicle. Service and Repair





2. Remove the torque converter from the transmission unit.
- Install lifting handles JD-105 or equivalents.
3. Remove lifting handles JD-105 from the torque converter.
4. Clean the torque converter and mating faces.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Use extreme care NOT to damage the oil seal with the converter spigot.





1. Install the torque converter, as follows:
a. Install lifting handles JD-105 or equivalents.
b. Lubricate the front pump seal.
2. Remove lifting handles JD-105 from the torque converter.
3. Install the transmission unit.
