ISSUE:
New PDU software has been released. JTP 627/3 software has been introduced to cover the changes for 1999 MY vehicles.

JTP 627/3 contains all of the software previously available on JTP 627/2. An addition to this new software provides guided diagnostics and vehicle configuration software for 1999 MY vehicles.

Note:
A feature to allow key coding and vehicle configuration has been added.

The main addition is to include coverage for the AJ27 4.0 L normally aspirated engines. The main effect of these changes is the addition of new DTCs and new datalogger signals. Each of the new DTCs have a new diagnostic routine to support them.

The additional DTCs have caused the engine management diagnostic application to exceed available memory in PDU. To get the application to fit, the Starter circuits test that would normally be loaded with it, were removed. As a result, if the problem on the vehicle is suspected as being caused by the starter circuit, load the starter circuit test directly.

A number of harness changes have also been made. The biggest of these being the reorientation of connectors RFOO1 and ACOO1 (all of the pin numbers on these connectors have been changed).

Vehicle Data Viewer has been modified to remove the select constraints (Pie Icon) feature. This has been removed as a result of the memory space constraints described above. All of the other VDV features remain unchanged.

ACTION:
Ensure that this software is installed immediately. Retain the previous issues in a secure place as a backup CD-ROM in the event the new software is damaged.
