Spare Tire: Service and Repair
CAUTION: Do not use heat to loosen a seized lug nut; heat may damage the wheel & wheel bearings.
REMOVAL
1. Lift the trunk floor panel.
2. Remove the spare wheel securing screw.
3. Remove the wheel
INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
^ Ensure that there is no contamination of the of the wheel, hub or brake rotor contact surfaces.
^ Installation without metal to metal contact at the mounting surfaces may cause the lug nuts to loosen & allow the wheel to detach with the vehicle in motion.
NOTE: To reduce the possibility of damage/air leaks, the valve stem should face uppermost.
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
