The front shock absorber consists of a hydraulic damper unit and a co-axially mounted suspension spring.

The spring is installed between a lower spring seat on the damper body and an upper spring seat installed at the end of the damper rod.

The complete shock absorber and spring assembly is mounted between the lower wishbone bracket and the vehicle body.

Damping is achieved by controlling the flow of fluid from one end of the damping chamber to the opposite end of the chamber. The more the flow of fluid is restricted, the harder the damping.
