Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground lead.





2. Release fixings (4) and remove the Engine Control Module/Transmission Control Module (ECM / TCM) housing cover.





3. Disconnect the TCM harness multiplug EM007.
4. Lift the TCM from its housing.

INSTALLATION
1. Fitting a new TCM is the reverse of the removal procedure.

NOTE:
^ A replacement TCM may only be obtained from an authorized Jaguar dealer and MUST be ordered against the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
^ At this point ensure that the ECM is correctly located and pushed fully rearward against the housing.
