Throttle Position Error

For DTC P1224 output voltage from the throttle sensor #1 is compared against a preset target. Should the difference exceed a set amount a counter is started, when the counter is above a set value, a failure judgement is made.

Normal detection is made when the difference between the two voltages remains within a limit for a specified time.

A continuous check is made on the dc (throttle) motor. Upon detection of a fault, a counter is started and once this exceeds a preset amount a failure detection, DTC P1229, is made.
