The unit houses the servomotor operated flaps which control the movement of air within the unit or to the cabin.

Flaps are provided for:
- Left-band air intake.
- Right-hand air intake.
- Center air outlet.
- Defrost air outlet. Foot and cool air by-pass.
- Foot and cool air by-pass
